With the end of the semester just a couple weeks away, find technology tools and resources to support your students and successfully wrap up the semester.

Before Finals Week

• Use Zoom to offer virtual office hours for students to ask questions.
• Remind students to have Okta Verify set up on their device so they can be ready to log into WebCampus and other services that use multifactor authentication.
• If students need to submit a video for a final project, instructors can use Panopto to set up an assignment folder for students to record and submit their content.
• Encourage students to access support resources, including the Writing Center, Academic Success Center, or mental health and wellness services.

Finals Week

• Complete FERPA training in RebelPeople to ensure you have access to MyUNLV and your grade rosters. MyUNLV grade rosters are available the first day of finals week for regular courses. For modular courses, they are available the last day of the course.
• Directly transfer final course grades from WebCampus to MyUNLV for a quicker grade entry process when using WebCampus for grading.
• Take a break to order food from Grubhub using RebelCash. Instructors get free delivery and other perks for adding UNLV to their Grubhub account.

After Finals Week

• If you need assistance with tasks such as preparing your WebCampus gradebook and applying a grading scheme before transferring WebCampus grades to the MyUNLV grade roster, attend a WebCampus open lab or submit a request for a virtual consultation.
• Preserve Panopto recordings, copy course content to a new course shell, and complete other end-of-semester tasks in WebCampus to wrap up the fall semester.
• Close previous Panopto class folders to ensure students do not save their recordings in old folders. Starting May 15, assignment folders will be created automatically when instructors use the Panopto Recordings tab.
• Request extended access to Spring courses for students who received an Incomplete. Students have access to WebCampus courses three weeks after the course end date listed in MyUNLV. If you would like to extend a student’s access, you will need to submit a ticket to the IT Help Desk.
• If you have a LastPass Business account through UNLV, prepare your account for the switch to LastPass Free by booking a password reset appointment. If you don’t reset your password, your account will be permanently deleted after July 31. Learn about other password manager options available on the LastPass Service Changed initiative page.  
• Prepare for any international trips by setting up your Okta Verify multifactor authentication before you go. Okta Verify works with or without a cellular or WiFi connection, so you can still access any UNLV accounts you need while on your trip.
